Kristin Gitler and David Goldman, from Manlius, NY (near Syracuse), started playing together as the duo "Kristin & David" in 2009, shortly after they first met to play Irish music at a session in Marcellus. They play traditional fiddle tunes — French Canadian, American and Celtic — on the mountain dulcimer and acoustic guitar.

Kristin has been playing the mountain dulcimer for over 15 years. She began playing at historic re-enactments, and later joined the Marcellus Irish session where she met David. She has developed her own unique flat-picking style and teaches mountain dulcimer workshops at festivals and privately around the northeast. In 2015 she earned a certificate for Teaching the Mountain Dulcimer from Western Carolina University.

David has been playing the guitar since he was a teenager. He has played in rock, oldies and beatnik bands, and more recently fell in love with traditional music.

Kristin & David have performed at the Syracuse Irish Festival, the Westcott Cultural Fair, and other venues in the Syracuse area, and can be heard on WAER's Common Threads radio program. They have released two CDs, Old Tunes - Baked Fresh, and Tunes Twice Stitched.
